About Us

Glenwood Community Church is a nondenominational church located in Vancouver, Washington.  We believe that the God who created the universe has revealed Himself through the Bible, and we believe the Bible when it says that we can know and have a relationship with God through the person of Jesus Christ.  (You can read more of what we believe about God and the Bible on the Beliefs page.  The Vision page discusses our purpose and what things we value).

Founded in 1936 as a Sunday School, the church was officially formed in 1944.  The church outgrew and sold its building in the Minnehaha neighborhood of Vancouver in 1990. The church met in rented spaces in the Vancouver area until December 1998, when it occupied its present facility located at N.E. 119th Street and 72nd Avenue.  See our History for a more detailed account of our roots.

The church now averages 1,400 people in total Sunday morning attendance. The Senior Pastor is Dr. Paul A. Jackson. Additional staff members serve in children's ministries, adult equipping, LIFE groups which meet throughout Clark County, music and worship arts, student and young adults ministry, and administration.  More information about our staff can be found on our Staff page.  Please learn more about our various ministries by looking through our Ministry Groups.
