Paul A. Jackson

Senior Pastor

A native of the Imperial Valley of southern California, Senior Pastor Paul Jackson holds an undergraduate degree from Biola University and an M.A. from the University of Oregon. He is also a graduate of Western Seminary in Portland, Oregon with both a Master of Divinity and a Doctor of Ministry.

Pastor Jackson led the church through the development of its new facility after the church grew beyond the capacity of the previous building in the Minnehaha neighborhood of Vancouver. During that time, the church has grown to serve some 1,400 people on Sunday mornings, offering a wide range of ministries and opportunities for spiritual service and growth.

Paul combines an unflinching dedication to the clear exposition of the Word of God with an ability to connect personally to men, women, and families. His responsibilities include the overall leadership of the church, preaching and teaching the Word of God, and pastoral care. Paul and his wife Nancy have four children.

Steve Stager

Executive Pastor

Steve and his wife Anna are originally from Spokane, and are both graduates of Multnomah Bible College with majors in Student Ministry. Before graduating with a M.Div. from Multnomah Biblical Seminary, Steve was a Community Youth Ministry Director for Malachi Ministries of Cadence International, working with teens of military personnel in Germany. His primary role is to assist Senior Pastor Paul Jackson in managing the Directors and ministries of Glenwood.  Steve and Anna have two small boys.

Brian Martin

Pastor of Care & Equipping

Brian Martin is a graduate of Washington State University and Multnomah Biblical Seminary. Brian and his wife Dayna have five children. Brian assists in pastoral care with counseling and visitation as well as in the preaching of God's Word. In his leadership of the adult small group ministries, he works to train LIFE group leaders, develop new groups, and refine curriculum and other resources for these groups. He works on development and teaching of adult classes on Sundays and at other times.

Al Curtis

Director of Operations

Al Curtis served in private industry until 2001, when he joined Glenwood's staff as Director of Operations. Al's responsibilities include assisting Pastor Paul in the daily supervision of staff and ministries, overall development of our 20 acre campus, budget and expense control, and Men's Ministries. Al also serves as elder on the Church Board, with shepherding and visitation as an emphasis. Al and his wife Terri have two kids and three grandkids.

Nancy Jackson

Director of Children's Ministries

Nancy Jackson is a graduate of Biola University and the University of Oregon, where she completed a Master's degree in teaching Spanish and English and also graduate course work in Education. Nancy leads large teams of volunteers throughout the year in various children’s ministries. Her overarching desire is to equip volunteers to purposefully model and communicate God's Word in such a way that children yearn to know, love and follow Jesus Christ with all their heart, soul, mind and strength.  Nancy and her husband Paul have four children.

Nathan Nymeyer

Director of High School Ministries

Nathan and his wife Emily are most recently from Wisconsin, and are both graduates of Moody Bible Institute in Chicago. Nathan then went on to graduate from Moody Theological Seminary with a M. Div. in Pastoral Studies. Nathan is primarily responsible for the ministry to high school students and their families at Glenwood. Nathan loves working with youth and is passionate about seeing high school students mature into the image of Christ. Nathan and Emily have one little daughter, Charlotte.

Tommy Holczer

Director of Middle School Ministries

Tommy and his wife Anna have been a part of the Glenwood family for many years.  Tommy is a graduate of Multnomah University in Educational Ministries and is currently pursing an M.A. in Biblical and Theological Studies from Western Seminary.  Tommy is responsible for the ministry to middle school students and their families at Glenwood.  Tommy's desire is to see a group of middle school students whose hearts are warmer towards Christ, actions are more Christ-like, and lives increasingly fulfill Christ's commission.  Tommy and Anna have one son, Owen.

Allen Hutchison

Director of Communications & I.T. Support

Allen and his wife, Stephanie, have been part of the Glenwood family for more than 10 years. Allen and Stephanie have four daughters, Elizabeth, Eliana, Malina Grace, and Serafina.  Allen helps with the many avenues of communication that Glenwood uses, especially electronic communication. He is also responsible for assisting our ministries with their various technological needs.  Allen holds a B.A. from Multnomah Bible College in Biblical Studies and Speech Communication.  Allen is also a graduate of Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary with a M.A. in Old Testament and a M.A. in New Testament.

Nathan Adent

Director of Worship

Nathan Adent provides leadership for our worship service planning process, working with the Senior Pastor to find music and other worship elements that will lead our congregation as we meet to worship the Lord and interact with His Word. He also serves as worship leader most weeks. Nathan and his wife Colleen have three children.

Colleen Adent

Director of Music

Colleen Adent's background in performance and arranging is being put to good use each week at Glenwood Community Church as she prepares music for our worship services and special events. An accomplished pianist, Colleen has performed at a number of local as well as international venues. She is a graduate of Biola University in the field of piano performance. Colleen and her husband Nathan have three children.

Lance Ebert

Facilities & Maintenance Supervisor

Lance and his wife, Sonja, and their three sons, Tyler, Cannon, and Gage, have attended Glenwood for many years. Lance oversees the continual upkeep of the church buildings and the property. Lance and his team of volunteers and workers are responsible for a variety of jobs ranging from event setup/tear down to landscaping. Lance also helps to coordinate event scheduling.

Judy Tremblay

Office Manager

Office manager Judy Tremblay is responsible for day to day office operations, accounting processes, and a host of other things that enable us to function. Judy has two grown children and three grandchildren.

Diane Stevens

Secretary

Secretary Diane Stevens is the front line for personal and phone hospitality at the church office. She also assists with many aspects of office and worship arts administration. Diane spends part of her time in preparation for our weekly worship services and other ministries.  Diane and her husband John have three grown children and nine grandchildren.

Eileen Haggerty

Secretary

Eileen is a part-time secretary at Glenwood, and assists Judy McCleery and Diane Stevens in the front office with a wide array of responsibilities. Having grown up along the California coast, Eileen transplanted to the Pacific Northwest 30 years ago. Eileen and her husband Phil of almost 25 years have two sons, Nick and Connor.

Jackie Hadder

Secretary

Jackie is a part-time secretary at Glenwood, and assists Judy McCleery and Diane Stevens in the front office. She has been married to her husband Bart for nearly 4 decades. Their two adult children live on the East Coast, much to the consternation of their parents. While Jackie does enjoy a good book, she really loves being around people - whether that's in Jazzercise, at a meal, or shopping together.

Christa Abraham

Administrative Assistant

When she’s not teaching her 20+ piano students, Christa is big part-time help in the church office.  She assists Diane Stevens in Worship Arts administration and Nancy Jackson in Children’s Ministries.  Christa and her family have been part of Glenwood for many years.

Tim Furnanz

Intern (The Calling)

Tim and his wife Kayla have attended Glenwood for many years, originally getting to know one another as students in The Calling ministry.  Born and raised in New England, Tim went to Bryan College in Tennessee for his B.A. in English Literature and is currently working towards his M.A. in Biblical and Theological studies at Western Seminary.  Along with Justin Swift, he leads the college/young adult ministry at GCC.

Justin Swift

Intern (The Calling)

Justin Swift grew up in Yacolt, WA before pursuing his BS in Biology and Philosophy from the University of Idaho. During his colleges years he served as the Wilderness CRU director for UI Campus Crusade for Christ as well as staff director for Worldview Academy, a Christian leadership camp. Along with Tim Furnanz, he leads the college/young adult ministry at GCC.
