Ministry Groups

Children's Ministry

At Glenwood Community Church, we desire to assist parents in equipping their children to know, love, and follow Jesus Christ through Biblical instruction and discipleship so they may serve Him faithfully and effectively in a complex world.  This means we seek creative ways to effectively teach God's word for each age level -- to communicate who God is, that God loves us, how we can respond to him through faith in Christ, and how children can live for him in each situation.

Middle School

The Middle School Ministry is a group of students and leaders dedicated to loving and living Jesus Christ. We passionately follow Jesus Christ in order to know Him. We intentionally engage middle school students with the gospel to see them follow Jesus as well.

High School

The High School Ministry at Glenwood Community Church is a group of students and leaders from a variety of places. We represent eleven different high schools as well as numerous home schooled students. We are committed to seeing high school students develop a love for God that leads to a lifetime of faithfulness to Him and impact in their world.

College / Young Adult

The Calling is a group of Young Adults responding to the Love and Call of Jesus Christ! He has CALLED us to know and love Him and we are dedicated to living out our relationship with Him in the world. We take the pursuit of God seriously and have a great time with one another as we explore together what it means to be a follower of Jesus. Whether you are established in the love of Jesus or are still searching for the answers to your spiritual questions, we invite you to come and hang out with us.

LIFE Groups

LIFE Groups are local expressions of the new community Christ created.   Believers and seekers gather together to look into God's Word, pray for each other, struggle together, love on each other, and exhort one another to follow Christ full heartedly.  This is where the family of God acts like a family.  We want each person who joins a group to discover firsthand the joy, responsibility, and growth occurring from intentional community.

Adult Equipping

Truthful Teaching...Truthful Learning....Truthful Living.  The Adult Equipping Center tools people for life and service to Jesus Christ using the Word of God as the primary resource.  Whether through reading materials, videos, or compelling teaching, our goal is to assist the Church's conformity to the likeness of God's Son.

The mission of Women's Ministries is to glorify God by encouraging women in their walk with Jesus.  Our hope is that women will use the talents and gifts God has given them to serve one another.  Our goal is to provide women of all ages and seasons of life many opportunities to disciple, fellowship and serve.

The focus of Men's Ministries at Glenwood is to challenge men to grow in their walk with God and become fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ through sound biblical teaching, living out God's Word, building relationships, evangelism opportunities, and fellowship and fun.

The Seniors Ministry at Glenwood is about creating and strengthening relationships for the sake of the Gospel.  Fellowship and service are the critical aspects of this ministry.
